I was walking and praying one fall morning and a song by Rich Mullins was reverberating through my body and soul, I SEE YOU.
As the lyrics played through my head and I found myself praying and praising them back to God. It was a wonderful time of communing with our heavenly Father.
Lord, You’re leading me
With a cloud by day
And then in the night
The glow of a burning flame
And everywhere I go, I see You
And everywhere I go, I see You
And You take my hand
And You wash it clean
I know the promised land
Is light years ahead of me
And everywhere I go, I see You
And everywhere I go, I see You
And everywhere I go, I see You
And everywhere I go, I see You
Well, the eagle flies
And the rivers run
I look through the night
I can see the rising sun
And everywhere I go, I see You
And everywhere I go, I see You
And everywhere I go, I see You
I see You, I see You
Well, the grass will die
And the flowers fall
But Your Word’s alive
And it will be after all
And everywhere I go, I see You
And everywhere I go, I see You
And everywhere I go, I see You
And as I sang them, I saw the traffic and I saw God in the people in the cars and trucks.
I saw Diaspora and I saw God there.
I saw my family and I saw God there.
And I saw the day ahead of me and the weeks to come and the people we might meet and in all those things, I saw God.
He is there, ahead of us, preparing the way, opening doors, in our struggles and our joys.
He has a place and a way for each of us, our families.
He has a place and a way for people we don’t even know yet.
He has a place and a way for Diaspora and the DCs that we will come to see.
God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I see You.
I invite you to look for God throughout your day. Use the words of that song as a prayer or use the breath prayer or The Jesus Prayer or whatever helps you to focus on Jesus in your day moment by moment.
